This Shipping and Delivery Policy explains how Alpine Aminos LLC (“Alpine Aminos,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes, ships, tracks, and addresses delivery-related issues for orders placed through alpineaminos.com.
This Policy forms part of and is incorporated into our Terms of Use and Conditions of Sale. It should be read together with our Refund, Cancellation, Replacement, and Claims Policy and other applicable website policies.
All Alpine Aminos products are sold exclusively for lawful in vitro laboratory research and analytical applications by qualified purchasers who are at least 21 years of age. Products are not intended for human or veterinary use.
1. Shipping Destinations
Alpine Aminos currently ships only to eligible addresses within the United States and U.S. jurisdictions supported through our checkout and shipping providers.
Shipping availability, carrier services, rates, and delivery times may vary by destination. Certain destinations may have limited carrier options, higher shipping charges, longer transit times, or additional delivery restrictions.
We do not offer international shipping. Customers may not use freight-forwarding, package-forwarding, transshipment, or similar services to export or redirect products outside the United States.
Alpine Aminos may decline or cancel an order when the destination is unsupported, restricted, associated with prohibited forwarding activity, or presents legal, fraud, compliance, or delivery concerns.
2. Order Processing
Orders are generally processed within one to two business days after payment is received, the order is accepted, and any required purchaser or compliance review is completed.
Orders placed after 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time are normally treated as received on the next business day.
Business days do not include Saturdays, Sundays, federal holidays, carrier holidays, or days on which Alpine Aminos or its shipping providers are closed.
Processing times are estimates and are separate from carrier transit times. Processing may take longer because of:
- payment confirmation or payment review;
- address verification;
- fraud or security screening;
- purchaser-eligibility or Research Use Only review;
- inventory availability;
- high order volume;
- weather, carrier, technical, or operational disruptions;
- holidays or business closures; or
- other circumstances reasonably requiring additional review.
An order confirmation does not guarantee shipment. Alpine Aminos reserves the right to hold, decline, or cancel an order as permitted by our Terms of Use and Conditions of Sale.
3. Shipping Rates
Available shipping methods and charges are displayed during checkout based on the shipping destination, package characteristics, order value, carrier availability, and other applicable factors.
The customer is responsible for reviewing and accepting the shipping method, shipping charge, estimated delivery information, and complete order total before submitting the order.
Shipping rates may change without advance notice. Changes do not affect orders that have already been accepted at a confirmed shipping price unless a correction is required because of an obvious error, invalid address, unsupported service, or material change requested by the customer.
4. Free Standard Shipping
Free standard shipping may be available on qualifying orders of $150 or more shipped to eligible destinations within the contiguous Lower 48 United States.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- the qualifying threshold is calculated after discounts and before taxes;
- the qualifying threshold does not include shipping charges;
- free shipping applies only to an eligible standard shipping method selected or assigned by Alpine Aminos;
- expedited, upgraded, signature, or special-handling services may require an additional charge;
- Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, military destinations, and other non-Lower-48 destinations are not included in the Lower 48 free-shipping offer; and
- free-shipping eligibility may be limited or withdrawn in cases involving unsupported addresses, unusual shipping requirements, suspected abuse, reshipments, or returned packages.
Promotional free-shipping offers may have separate terms stated in the applicable promotion.
5. Delivery Estimates
Delivery dates and transit times shown at checkout, in tracking information, or in customer communications are estimates provided for convenience. They are not guaranteed delivery dates unless Alpine Aminos expressly states otherwise in writing.
Carrier transit begins after the package has been accepted and scanned by the carrier. Carrier pickup, initial scan, tracking updates, and estimated delivery information may be delayed.
Alpine Aminos is not responsible for carrier delays caused by weather, natural disasters, transportation disruptions, labor interruptions, security events, governmental actions, service interruptions, incorrect routing, peak-season volume, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
6. Shipping Confirmation and Tracking
When available, a shipping confirmation containing carrier and tracking information will be sent to the email address associated with the order.
Tracking information may take time to become active after a label is created. The creation of a shipping label does not necessarily mean the carrier has already taken possession of the package.
Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking information and making reasonable arrangements to receive the shipment.
If tracking does not update within a reasonable period after carrier acceptance, contact us at info@alpineaminos.com.
7. Customer Responsibility for Shipping Information
The customer is responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address at checkout.
Before submitting an order, carefully review:
- recipient name;
- street address;
- unit, suite, apartment, mailbox, or building number;
- city, state, and ZIP Code;
- email address;
- telephone number where requested; and
- any delivery instructions supported by the carrier.
Alpine Aminos is not responsible for delays, delivery failures, misdelivery, or returns caused by incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsupported address information supplied by the customer.
8. Address Changes
Address-change requests must be submitted as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been submitted.
Once an order has entered processing, been packed, received a shipping label, or been transferred to the carrier, an address change may no longer be possible.
Do not rely solely on an email or message requesting an address change. A change is not effective unless Alpine Aminos confirms it in writing.
If an address change results in additional carrier charges, rerouting fees, returned-package fees, or reshipment costs, the customer may be responsible for those amounts.
9. Restricted, Controlled-Access, and Shared Delivery Locations
Customers are responsible for determining whether a shipping address can securely receive the package.
This includes addresses associated with:
- apartment or condominium buildings;
- mailrooms;
- reception desks;
- universities or research facilities;
- commercial buildings;
- gated communities;
- package lockers;
- military facilities;
- government facilities;
- shared offices;
- hotels or temporary lodging; and
- other controlled-access or shared-delivery locations.
A carrier delivery scan to a mailroom, reception desk, locker, authorized agent, building employee, or other location customarily used for deliveries may be treated as delivery to the address provided.
Customers should not use a location where they cannot reliably retrieve or secure the shipment.
10. Signature Requirements
Alpine Aminos may require a signature for certain orders based on order value, destination, payment method, fraud risk, prior delivery issues, carrier requirements, or other reasonable considerations.
A signature requirement does not guarantee that the package will be delivered directly to the named purchaser. Carrier procedures may permit delivery to another eligible person or authorized receiving location at the address.
The customer is responsible for making arrangements to receive a signature-required shipment.
11. Carrier Delays and Service Interruptions
After a package is transferred to the carrier, delivery timing and tracking updates are primarily controlled by that carrier.
A carrier delay, missed estimate, routing change, or temporary lack of tracking activity does not automatically mean that a package is lost or that its contents are damaged.
Alpine Aminos may require a reasonable investigation or waiting period before treating a delayed shipment as lost or providing a remedy.
12. Packages Marked Delivered but Not Located
If tracking shows that a package was delivered but it cannot be located, the customer should promptly:
- check the delivery area and all entrances;
- check mailrooms, parcel lockers, reception desks, and other authorized receiving areas;
- ask household members, employees, neighbors, building personnel, or other authorized recipients whether they accepted the package;
- review any available delivery photograph or carrier notice;
- contact the carrier for delivery details; and
- notify Alpine Aminos within the claim period stated in our Refund, Cancellation, Replacement, and Claims Policy.
A carrier delivery scan does not prevent Alpine Aminos from reviewing a properly submitted claim, but it may be considered when evaluating the available evidence and determining whether a remedy is appropriate.
13. Lost Shipments
A shipment is not considered lost solely because tracking is delayed, unchanged, or past an estimated delivery date.
Alpine Aminos may require completion of the carrier’s investigation period before determining that a shipment is lost.
Customers must reasonably cooperate with any carrier or Alpine Aminos investigation, including by confirming the shipping address, completing requested forms, providing a statement of non-receipt, or supplying other reasonably requested information.
If a shipment is confirmed or reasonably determined to be lost, any replacement, store credit, refund, or other remedy will be handled under our Refund, Cancellation, Replacement, and Claims Policy.
14. Damaged Packages, Incorrect Items, and Missing Contents
Customers should inspect the shipment promptly after delivery.
Claims involving visible shipping damage, an incorrect item, a missing item, package tampering, leakage, broken containers, or other fulfillment concerns must be submitted within the period and according to the evidence requirements stated in our Refund, Cancellation, Replacement, and Claims Policy.
Do not discard the shipping carton, packaging materials, product containers, labels, packing materials, or damaged contents until Alpine Aminos confirms that they are no longer needed for review.
Photographs or video may be required, including images of:
- the complete outer package;
- the shipping label;
- all sides of the package;
- internal packaging;
- the products received;
- visible damage or leakage; and
- lot, batch, or product identifiers.
15. Environmental and Transit Conditions
Packages may encounter changes in temperature, humidity, pressure, handling, and transit time during ordinary transportation and delivery.
A delayed shipment, warm package, cold package, exterior temperature, or time spent in transit does not by itself establish that the material is damaged, contaminated, degraded, or unsuitable for lawful research.
Any concern regarding transit exposure will be reviewed based on the circumstances, available evidence, packaging condition, product characteristics, batch documentation, carrier information, and any other relevant information.
Customers should follow the storage and handling information provided with the product or stated on the applicable product page, label, or documentation after delivery.
16. Refused, Unclaimed, and Undeliverable Packages
A customer should not refuse delivery or allow a shipment to remain unclaimed unless instructed to do so by Alpine Aminos.
Packages may be returned to Alpine Aminos because of:
- an incorrect or incomplete address;
- an unsupported mailbox or delivery location;
- failed delivery attempts;
- failure to collect the package;
- refusal of delivery;
- carrier restrictions;
- security or access limitations; or
- other circumstances outside Alpine Aminos’ control.
Returned products are not automatically eligible for resale, reshipment, replacement, credit, or refund.
Before any reshipment, Alpine Aminos may require:
- confirmation or correction of the shipping address;
- payment of new shipping charges;
- payment of carrier return, rerouting, or handling charges;
- completion of additional purchaser verification; or
- submission of other information reasonably necessary to process the shipment.
Any remedy will be determined under this Policy, our Refund, Cancellation, Replacement, and Claims Policy, and applicable law.
17. Unauthorized Returns
Do not mail or return products to Alpine Aminos without prior written authorization.
Because the chain of custody, handling, storage conditions, identity, and integrity of returned Research Use Only materials cannot generally be verified, returned products may not be accepted back into inventory.
An unauthorized return does not create a right to a refund, replacement, store credit, or reshipment.
18. Order Cancellation and Shipping Labels
Cancellation requests are governed by our Refund, Cancellation, Replacement, and Claims Policy.
An order may no longer be eligible for cancellation once it has entered processing, been packed, received a shipping label, been staged for carrier pickup, or been transferred to the carrier.
A shipping label or tracking number may be created before the carrier physically receives the package. Conversely, a shipment may already be committed to the carrier before tracking becomes active.
19. Theft, Diversion, and Unauthorized Access After Delivery
Customers are responsible for using a secure and appropriate delivery location and for retrieving packages promptly after delivery.
Alpine Aminos may review reports of theft or unauthorized removal, but a replacement or refund is not guaranteed when tracking confirms delivery to the address or authorized delivery location supplied by the customer.
We may request a carrier report, police report, building report, signed statement, delivery photograph, surveillance information, or other evidence reasonably related to the claim.
20. Fraud Prevention and Shipping Restrictions
Alpine Aminos may delay, restrict, or decline shipping when an order presents suspected fraud, payment irregularities, identity concerns, address inconsistencies, forwarding activity, prohibited resale or diversion, unusual ordering patterns, or other compliance concerns.
We may require additional verification before shipment. Failure to provide requested verification may result in delay or cancellation.
21. Research Use Only and Purchaser Responsibility
Shipping a product does not represent confirmation that a proposed use is lawful, approved, safe, or appropriate.
The purchaser remains responsible for:
- maintaining a lawful and appropriate research environment;
- ensuring that the shipping destination is suitable for receiving Research Use Only materials;
- preventing access by children, unauthorized persons, or animals;
- maintaining appropriate storage, handling, inventory, and security controls;
- preventing resale, redistribution, relabeling, repackaging, diversion, or prohibited use; and
- complying with all applicable laws, regulations, institutional requirements, and policies.
22. Remedies
Any replacement, refund, store credit, reshipment, cancellation, or other remedy involving a shipping or delivery issue is governed by our Refund, Cancellation, Replacement, and Claims Policy and applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances, Alpine Aminos may:
- request additional information or evidence;
- open or require a carrier investigation;
- replace an item or shipment;
- issue a partial or full store credit;
- issue a partial or full refund;
- reship an order after collection of applicable charges;
- deny a claim that is late, unsupported, inconsistent, excluded by policy, or otherwise not eligible; or
- provide another remedy required by applicable law.
Submission of a claim does not guarantee a particular remedy.
23. Changes to This Policy
Alpine Aminos may update this Shipping and Delivery Policy to reflect changes in carriers, shipping services, business operations, legal requirements, product handling, or other relevant circumstances.
The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Changes apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.
